I think buy getting off the ground you reduce traction, so flying of any type is faster then running with the exact same run speed, that at least makes sense.

it probly increase your RS by 600 - 1000

ya, would make sense but i dont think FC woudl go through all that time to make AO that complicated :P

You would go faster simply because you are going in a straight line, instead of up and down hills, around rocks/mobs, and swimming across lakes and rivers.
