I rolled a froob advy once and used this until like lv 60 specifically because of the cycling absorb. The absorbs from rk damage shields don't regen and recasting it every so often is a pita compared to this. Until you can instacast an RK damage shield mid fight this stands a better chance for a lot of fights at lowbie levels.
