I agree with jornado. I dual log and team my MP with my alts and I can see the lag on the other computer screen. It shows my MP casting and moving when on my screen the nano was already done before I moved. On the other computer screen it shows my MP moving while actually casting.
Also when just playing my MP, I notice that I can step out from behind cover and nuke, then move back into cover really quickly and it appears that I'm moving and nuking at the same time. However, since I can instacast nukes, the nano attack bar sometimes lags behind the toons actions and gives the appearance of nuking while moving.
But one more thing though. there is a small threshold for nuking and moving with or without a coolant sink or interrupt NF's and it's not due to lag. Basically you can cast a slow executing nano formula then move about 2 - 4 meters and it won't end the casting. Continue moving however and it will eventually interrupt the casting. I believe this is due to the way FC programmed the movement in AO...which is toons actually don't go from stand still to full sprint. Instead they go from stand still, slow walk, then to sprint. So during the time of nano casting, you can actually be in the slow walk phase while casting and moving (which is easily mistaken for running visually but the game interprets it as walking).
One of the best ways to see a clear difference can only be seen during low server population times and inside of a instanced dungeon or mission where you are the only one there. During these times, there is no server lag whatsoever and everything you do happens instantly and accurately about 99% of the time (I know because I play majority of my hours during low server population times and see a huge difference in game performance verse when there's a lot of other players online).

by the way, that stand still, slow walk then full sprint thing I mentioned isn't all that hard to see. You know because there is a visual difference in a game when you go from stand still to full sprint. SWG (classic, not CU/NGE) was one MMO where toons went from stand still to full sprint as soon as you moved...there was two speeds when you don't have walk mode on and that was stand still...then full sprint (no slow movement between standing still and them full sprint). In AO, your standing still, then when you start to move, you can see your toon gradually pick up speed (last about 1.5 seconds actually) and then you will see them kick it into full sprint mode from there. During that time you are in slow walk mode, nano's continue to cast and maybe even another second after the transition from slow walk to full sprint.
Basically it's just old back in the day's programming at work here. AO is a old game and many of the sub routines it uses for motion, casting nano's, shooting, jumping (basically all movement) has a degree of transition (often interpreted as lag). Latest games have much better motion captures and instant action to key press on the keyboard and there usually isn't a transition period between stand still and full sprint.
Hope that helps shed light on some things....

I barely ever get interupted, this goes for MP/NT/Doc alike. Id gladly trade 100% interupt decrease for a mere 10% fumble decrease though :)

You want to know when you want this bad boy running? If you're a shield MP and you're busy pvping. MOST everything you can use in a pvp fight is gonna be instacast but for 1-2 nanos (Rihwen and Bela spring to mind) but those handful of nanos that take time to cast you need to avoid interruption on as much as possible, while the melee prof fighting you wants you to stop casting whatever creeping death nano you're working on.
Ergo, this nano started to have a use once we stopped being 3 hit wonders in pvp and 1-shotted in pvm.
